PURPOSE
The Logistics Support Specialist is accountable to provide tactical operations support involving day-to-day operations. This may include (but not limited to) order entry, appointment scheduling, and track and trace support. They add value by being able to recognize and provide alerts on potential service gaps.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Timely order entry and customer delivery appointment scheduling.
- Qualify carriers for set-up.
- Enter load data accurately in a timely manner.
- Manage carrier compliance to track & trace check calls.
- Proactive shipment tracking, and customer alerts for known anticipated service gaps.
- Proactive to support customer management duties as needed by the business.
- Creatively identify and utilize effective communication channels and methods.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with Customers, Operation Personnel, Drivers, and management of all levels.
- Cross functional communication across Ascend teams, ensuring correct stakeholders are engaged and kept up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Transportation experience preferred, not required.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATONS, & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED.
